Dr. Madeline Sliwa joined the team at 5 Points Animal Hospital as an Associate Veterinarian in September 2023. She graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine with her degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in May 2022 and from Florida Southern College with a degree in Biology in May 2018.
Originally from Florida, Dr. Sliwa decided to stay in Tennessee following the completion of her DVM. Dr. Sliwa gained experience during her education with multiple species (and even once performed a tooth extraction on a jaguar!) but her passion is canine and feline medicine. Her professional interests include preventative medicine, geriatric care, internal medicine, and dentistry. Dr. Sliwa is Fear Free certified and strives to make the Veterinary experience as stress-free as possible for her patients and the owners who love them.
Dr. Sliwa has a Labrador Retriever mix puppy named Tallulah who she rescued from a shelter in Memphis. Tallulah loves everyone, and if you see her at the clinic she would love to say hello! In her free time, Dr. Sliwa enjoys spending time outdoors, taking care of her numerous plant babies, exploring local restaurants in Nashville, and spending time with her puppy. Dr. Sliwa is very excited to be a member of the 5 Points Animal Hospital team, and can't wait to care for everyone's pets!
